The choices we make

“Life is about choices. Some we regret, some we’re proud of. Some will haunt us forever. We are what we choose to be.” ~Graham Brown

We make choices every day. A choice can change lives — because every choice has a ripple effect. This applies to everything from the products we purchase to the political candidates we elect.

Likewise, the friends we choose have a powerful influence on our habits, beliefs, and even our reputation. Or, to paraphrase an old proverb, “You are not responsible for what your friends do, but you will be judged by the company you keep.” This applies to personal as well as business relationships.

How we choose to treat others is yet another example. A heartfelt compliment can lift someone’s day, while an insensitive remark can sting for weeks. Choosing our words carefully makes a difference.

Think of the choices you’ve made. How are they impacting your life and the people you know? ~CL
